Why should you take the code challenge?

We have a store that sells different types of items.  Some of these items become more valuable with age, such as cheese and wine, and some become less valuable with age, such as a concert ticket whose show date has passed.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to add a new item type to our store.  This is your chance to show off!

• Do you think it needs to be refactored, or can it be added as is?

• Are there code patterns that can make this solution better?

• How are you going to prove your solution works?

• Do you want to showcase your skills in a special area?  Develop this in any language you like.
